About asktobooked

Being good at the work should not make you invisible when someone asks who to hire.

asktobooked was created to help home service businesses understand a new layer of local discovery: the AI-generated answers that can place one company in front of a homeowner while leaving another out entirely.

Why this exists

A recommendation can happen before a customer ever reaches your website.

Local businesses have spent years learning how to manage Google profiles, websites, reviews, and directories. Those fundamentals still matter. What has changed is the way more customers can access and interpret that information.

A homeowner can now ask a conversational tool for a direct recommendation and receive only a few options. The business owner who is absent from that answer may never know the opportunity existed.

We built asktobooked to make that process visible. The goal is not to manufacture certainty around systems that change constantly. The goal is to help owners test the answer, understand the evidence behind it, improve what they control, and keep checking.

What we are building

One practical system, delivered at three levels.

Education first, deeper diagnosis when needed, and eventually continuous monitoring.

01

Education

The field guide teaches business owners to run the core audit themselves and fix the most common clarity gaps.

02

Diagnosis

Personalized consulting tests the business, trade, market, and competitors, then prioritizes what deserves attention first.

03

Monitoring

The long-term system is recurring visibility tracking: the same meaningful questions, measured across time, without relying on memory.

In development

How we approach the work

Useful enough to act on. Honest enough to trust.

Plain language

Business owners should not need a technical vocabulary to understand how their company is being represented.

Business-specific evidence

Useful recommendations begin with the actual questions, competitors, services, and geography that matter to the business.

Prioritized action

An audit should not create a hundred-item renovation. It should identify the clearest gaps and determine what happens next.

Repeatable measurement

AI answers change. A consistent recheck process is more valuable than a single screenshot or one-time score.

The line we will not cross

No guaranteed rankings. No invented certainty.

No responsible person can guarantee that a business will hold a specific position in every AI-generated answer. Results can vary by platform, wording, location, personalization, and time.

What can be done is concrete: make the business easier to understand, correct inconsistencies, answer customer questions clearly, strengthen the available evidence, and measure the result again.
